Day Care Centre


The Elderly Australian Chinese Homes acquired a property at 35 A Murray Street, Croydon in August 1995 through a grant under the joint State/Commonwealth Home and Community Care Program as a day care centre for the frail aged. The centre operates from 9:00 am to 5 pm, five days a week. The centre provides an alternative to residential care for the frail aged who cannot handle their living family tasks while their family members are out at work or in school.

Objective

To provide a haven for the frail aged who cannot cope with daily living tasks while their family is at work.

Eligibility

Anyone over 65 years of age and of Chinese, Indo-Chinese and Vietnamese descent.
