COMMUNITY AGED CARE PACKAGES (CACP)
Community Aged Care Packages is one of the major services provided
by the Elderly Australian Chinese Homes for the frail aged. The target
group includes frail older people living in their own homes or rental
accommodation. They have complex care needs and would qualify for
admission to aged residential care facility but wish to continue to
live in the community and maintain their lifestyle.
The Department of Health and Ageing has since June 1994 given approvals
and fundings to the Elderly Australian Chinese Homes to provide service
for 35 clients. The service area covers eight local government areas
of Ashfield, Burwood, Strathfield, Bankstown, Canterbury, Marrickville
and Canada Bay.
